Ebay, I've been helping my father inlaw find them. They are on there but are a popular item right now. They have been going for about $40.00 plus shipping. I found some a few months ago for 8 or $9+ If you can take your time you may find them for the right price. You should be able to find new old stock. anything that has been on a machine for 10 or 12 years is going to be crap.
I won't say where I saw them on this forum but if you want to PM me I'll get it for you.

Wow...my machine has been around for 11 years...not one thing that's crap on it!

A extension is just tube steel, what would make it "crap"? On that note...mine was on my machine for ten years, looked liked new when I sold it, no rust, no bends or cracked welds. It had about one inch of worn paint on top of the rail, that's it. Thinking of my buds with older polaris's, they all have rack extensions...I can't recall one of them that's "crap", infact most are in pretty nice shape...as are there 10-12 year old machines.

Try living in New York State. 1 or 2 winters plowing and anything with exposed metal, aluminum or steel is going to be corroded. I take it through the car wash as much as I can but you can't keep up with the salt. It will eat anything.
The post were the rack ext mounts to the plastic rack are almost rotted off and have been on for 4 winters.

Being from Minnesota, we know ALL about salt.

Salt corrodes and rusts things, sure,...but to say anything that's been on a machine for 10-12 years old is crap?? That's simply a false statement.

It's not like every used rack extension comes from NY...you can get them from anywhere. Even places that don't salt roads. Even my "salty" MN extension was like new after ten years, then again...I took care of it and never let salt sit on my machine.

Wenty,
I think you have lost track of the thread,
The guy was simply asking about rack extensions. I have them, you had or have them. How about giving him a hand finding some.
Relax, nobody said you have crappy stuff or screwed anybody on a sale. I don't really care if your's were rusty or not.
Nobody is attacking you.
I'm done.
