My sp 500 runns a full tank of gas out of the carb when you leave the fuel valve on. (just replaced the fuel valve, this also leaked a full tank of gas out!) It leaks through the overflow on the carb, were the hose hooks to it. Now I should have a good clean overflow hose with 5 gallons that went through it. (lol). Didnt want to spend $45 dollars for a needle and seat. The needle looks good but maybe that oring around the seat is bad? However it has to be bought as an assembly (needle and seat). Just curious if anyone had one layin around:?

 

have you looked on ebay? usually find a whole carb kit for about 20 bucks there
