Default Still having problems?

<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>Originally posted by: mtpockets

If the owners of this site knew that we all wouldn't have access for 4-5 DAYS amybe it would have been thoughtful to post a topic on the home page above "2009 Polaris Outlaw 450 MXR December 27, 2008" warning us that this was going to happen.

To completely not be able to use this website for the weekend plus Fri and Monday with the owner's knowledge that this was going to happen, clearly shows me just how little they think of us.

I for one enjoy visiting this Forum every day.

I find HL difficult to navigate plus don't know many people there. Would they shrug their members a cold shoulder and block them out for 4-5 days with no prior warning to?</end quote></div>

I'm not sure they blocked us intentionally but a mass e-mail or something would have been nice once they realized a problem existed.

There is going to be problems anytime a new owner comes on board and this occurred late Friday eve. It was the banner ads causing the the load problem and if the tech guy is gone for the weekend what do you do. I'll tell what you do is figure out how to deal with it.

I would get the Firefox web browser and at least install the Adblock Plus. I had no problems this past weekend.

Another thing I would get ready for and this is purely speculation on my part but internet brands owns Vbulletin which is and I quote "the largest international developer and distributor of proprietary community bulletin board software".

http://www.vbulletin.com/

This forum right now is using FuseTalk Inc

Why would you keep another's software when you own what might be a better product. I see this change happening in the future and how compatible it will be to switch this forum over without problems looks mighty slim.

The mass emailing so many users I would assume have this checked NO in there profile:

May we email you about news, specials or new products?

I am going Subscribe to this topic and see if I get an email the next time someone replies if they do

Not everyone here is a computer expert. In fact, I'm quite sure that most are not.

I tried THREE ways last weekend:

-Sleepy 56K AOL dial-up

-Brand New Mac Safari

-Internet Explorer

My favorite website could not be accessed!

I am certainly not a computer expert but I have learned I can mess one up pretty quick, expert in doing that

Yea, I think the timestamp that shows on the FORUM thread titles is posting off about an 3hrs. Not sure if
anyone has observed and posted about this? Unless its a timezone thing? I always followed the EST.

Regards,

RticKwad did you update your time in your profile?

The forum is on PST but when you go into a thread and you have it set to your time zone in your profile it reads correct or mine does.

Well if so it was before. So what happened? Was the forum software upgraded or just some
code updates, Raprotyfn660r?

Thx,

Yea and NOT TO BEAT A DEAD HORSE but as far as the Subscribe/UnSubscribe bug thing, its still happening after I selected all my threads and unsubscribed. So today I still get 3-4 email notifications of the same post/reply of each thread. That is not normal, it worked great before the BIG upgrade sometime ago, we were all email DBeck with our issues. The fact others have posted the same problem, I think there is a software glitch somewhere still.

Hey thanks for all the help and work-arounds!
