Ok, thanks. Anything special to taking the top box/rack off? Is it clips, bolts, screws...? I hope not the dumb plastic things. I hate those! They always wreck

Found a step by step breakdown of the procedure in another forum site.

Have it all worked out now. SHouldn't be a very tough thing to do by the sounds of it. Lookin' forward to having my Sportsman back up to proper ride height. I'll like the extra 2" when I find some nice mud ones it thaws out here! Can't wait

Got 'er all worked out. Put on the "lift" yesterday. It sits back at stock ride height now. While I was at, the spark plug was changed, getting new belt today, new headlights, new battery, cleaned and greased all electrical connections... ahaha. Wife won't see me for a few days!

Thanks for the help!

I put in rubber spacers. I had some rubber lying around. They were pretty close to hockey puck size.

It's a total of about 1.5" of spacer. The rubber I used is a little softer than a hockey puck, so the spring will "sit" against it better. We'll see how they hold up. If they fail, I'll use metal and do it again. It wasn't hard to do so no big deal.
