Default opinion on camo 850 XP

I have the camo & I really like it, I was not sold on the camo of a few years ago. I have put mine through a lot of alders & branches & there are no scratches which is why I now perfer camo over the solid colours. Just seeing the solid colour bikes at the dealers I know I would be afraid to take one through dirt because they LOOK SO GOOD. No matter what you get you will be happy they are awesome.

Hey everyone,

I know I'm getting addicted to reading this site when I go through withdrawls when the site go's down with problems. Anyway my queation is: I'm trying to decide whether or not to buy the camo version xp which is in stock or wait a month for a green version. I can get the camo for $8700 OTD ( sorry if I'm not supposed to give price) The sage green is just slightly less but I have to wait. The dealer says the new camo will not turn purple and it's plastic does not show scratches. He said the plastic was more durable than the other colors. I am paying cash for one tommorow if I go for the camo version. I just value everyones opinions and would like to here them. Thank you very much! Marc</end quote></div>

I think the camo is extremely nice... as are all the colors. If the dealer says the new camo won't turn purple... I would hold him to it (in writing). That would be the only reason I wouldn't get the camo.</end quote></div>

The camo fade is finally a thing of the past. It has been fixed for about a year and a half. No more pink, purple or bright green camo.

I usually pick the normal colors because they will match the clothing and helmets better. That's why I changed my mind from red. It's kind of a champagne red, and it wasn't for me. I also am not a flashy type guy, so the yellows and lime greens are out. I like the camo, but I hate how they charge more for it. Although the browning is probably the best bang for the buck when it comes to the XP's.

Look at them in person and then decide. They are all nice. It's what it can do that counts....not what it looks like.

<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>Still, it's something that my son and I can do together... you just can put a dollar tag on what that is worth. </end quote></div> You got that right. Anyway, to get me back on topic, I bought my X2 a month before they came out with a camo version. I was ticked. But, it turns out a lot of people were having the fading problem so I guess it wasn't so bad. If they've solved it, I'd go with the camo.

The only thing I have noticed and I have had three camo Polarises is that it don't show scuffs and scratches like solid colors. Only good if you like to keep your ATV looking good or at resale time. All look nice new.

That's good to hear. I really like the camo, and it's first on my list. The pictures here on the web don't do them justice... they look really sharp in person.
