Longer '04 ATP wheel studs?
I recently bought some Carlisle Mud Wolf tires as my winter tires. The back tires are 26x12-12 and the front tires are 26x9-12. The front tires rubbed a little so I bought some 1 1/8" (30 mm) wheel spacers. (BTW, the Mud Wolfs are great in deep snow, but I think they would vibrate a lot on hard surfaces. They are definitely made for mud, snow, and software dirt/sand.)
The spacers give plenty of space for the new tires, but the original wheel studs were meant for thin steel wheels, not thicker aluminum spacers. The stock lug nuts didn't grab enough, so I bought different grade 8 nuts that catch more threads but still not the whole nut. I would have the same problem with the ITP wheels and Carlisle All Terrain "summer" tires.
Is it possible to replace the stock studs with longer studs? If so, where can I get them? Is that something an upgrade a Polaris shop typically makes?
Thanks.
