Can your stator test bad, but still have a spark? When I mean bad, I mean the charge coils read 0 on ohm meter... Flywheel key is good, magnets are good.

Its possible that its getting some voltage from pick up coil, but maybe not enough to crank up.Plus have you eliminated other possible problems such as carb, fuel. Will it try to crank with starting fluid/contact cleaner through air filter?

No, cleaned carb well. New fuel. Starter fluid didnt even give it a little cough. The man I bought it from said that one day it just quit working and he had no spark. I bought it, and it has a spark. Compression tests within range. Good fuel, carb. Stator tests 0 and 0. The white white/red wires test good though. Thanks opt.

White and white/red is the pickup and if shows at least 97 ohms, possible to show some spark. Recheck all ground wires also. On charge coil wires, check to ground to see if shorting out, have had wires short and fuse together in harness before.Just a thought. If not the problem, then may have to spring for a new stator.
