My neighbor has a 2007 Polaris Sportsman 500, when she bought it there was a special where she got a Warn winch with it. I think it is a 2500lbs winch. It stopped working here recently, but I had been telling her to take it apart for a while, it sounds terrible. It sounds like the gears are stripped. My (cheap) ebay Gorilla winch sounds better by perspective.

Anyone else have a problem with their winch, or know of anything you can do to them. Is it toast, or can she fix some how.

 

ok, she said she thought it was a warn, but it is a Polaris branded winch. I assume it is not a warn then?
