Default ****** Block

Since I only have a 1500 # winch on the sportsman, I would like to get the most pulling power that I can.

Can the use of a ****** block be explained to me so I can use one correctly?

I would really appreciate it!!!!!!

I've got a 1500 lb W... and I carry 2 s/blocks. Important to pull as straight ahead as possible. You may have to change anchors (trees) a couple of times to do this, but its easier on parts. And remember to pull the cable out most of the way because the greatest mechanical advantage is when its all the way out.

the ****** block works as a pulley system. the more pulleys the more pulling power. remember that day in science class? yeah , i missed most of it too, but the principle is it basicaly doubles the pulling power.

one block will double the pulling power. 1500 lb seems very light to have one these sportsmans for sure.

Does the ****** block double the pulling power because you use twice as much line when it is used or because of something else????

its doubling of the line w/ the pully like on a come a long. its the pully(like mentioned above) that adds the extra pulling power. sometimes you have to realize its not just the weight of the bike your pulling. when your stuck say in mud, theres a powerful sucktion that is present as well of the dead weight of the wheeler and if your on it theres more weight. you can never have enough pulling power imo.
