Default New EPI's on the way

I know, I'm just like a kid in a candy store!

I ordered my new EPI front springs last Friday and awaiting shipment from N.Y.....

My 02 Polaris SP is apart and awaiting the new springs! I can't wait to see what a difference they will make.

I found a deal (?) for $73.76 incl. shipping. Not quite as cheap as the Polaris springs available for the later models but on a beer budget, with an '02, Ill be happy!

Man that is an awesome price, I should of shopped a little harder. So far though my Polaris HD ($46 set)seem like a great
improvement but only the trail will be the tell-tale sign, hope I don't lose any or feel loss with the front spring
improvement. Let us know, cool!

Default New EPI's on the way

Just got my springs last Monday and finally finished installing the new EPI's Tuesday.

I had great problems removing the spring on the right side since for some unknown reason to me, it refused to drop down far enough for the strut to clear the mount at the top. I had the quad jacked up so both fronts tires were an inch or so off the floor but that didn't work. I ended up going to a auto parts store here in town (Autozone) and "rented" for "free" (deposit only to cover the tool) a spring compressor. with the spring compressed I was able to clear the mount and then remove the spring. I also used the compressor to help install the new one.
I went to do the left side and as soon as I removed the top nut of the strut, the strut fell down and forward clearing the housing!! I didn't need to compress this side! It just fell out. I did use the compressr though to install the EPI spring.

The quad is back together now and steers easier and seems to ride higher with less nose diving. I haven't tried it with the plow yet...

Thanks for this web site and Rtikwad for your help and pictures and experience!

I've had my EPI's on for about 3 years and they are still doing great.

Hey Original Firehawk,

Thanks for the kudos but to be humble I only learned here on
the forums from everyone else. But what I wanted to accomplish
is a few more pic details to show where the instructions are NOT
clear, as usual, LOL.LOL Great job!

Good looking out!

The fender flares come stock on the 04's and will bolt right up to your 02.
