I have read several oil filter tests and all have pointed to fram as one of the lowest quality of all filters tested. Wix (NAPA) is consistently in the top two. Use what you like but WIX is a superior product.
NAPA filters are made by wix and the filters that fit our Polaris machines are available at the NAPA stores.
My blanket statement is factual.</end quote></div>
Just some more info on this statement. Napa Gold filter are made by wix not the silvers.
IF you have ever seen a filter get sucked through a engine you would know why not to buy Fram. There is a reason Cummins engine co. have a void warrant if anything other than if a Mopar/Fleetguard/Cummins/Motocraft/Purolator/AC Delco filters are used. Done my fair share of 5.9 Cummins rebiulds do to Frams. Use what you want but IMO you could not even give me a Fram to use on anything!

If that was the case you would not see Fram would not be in busness or on the news every day uder the headline "Class Action Law Suit",you know how many Frams are sold and used each day? To many to hide the fact the fall apart while in use.

And for me , the winner is ----------------- PURE POLARIS.
Just called the Polaris dealer and his price (Canadian) $11.99
Aftermarket - Bosch 12.00
Purolator 11.50
Wix 10.99
For those prices, I'll stick with Pol and avoid any warranty probs should they arise.

That's steep ,The entire oil kit, with a Pure Polaris filter and 2 liters of Pure Polaris full synthetic 0w-40 oil is only $25 at out Canadian Polaris dealer.
Are there prices not suppose to be all the same on that stuff?

My original po dealer ( burned down) charged $38.00 for the oil change kit.
Charged me $89.00 for new po belt 3211129.
Went to the A/Cat dealer and for a new PO (from Polaris) belt they quoted $58.00. I specified it had to be original equipment so they had to pick it up from a Po dealer.

oil change kit from polaris here is $26. i was gona buy oil and a filter seperate at a fleet farm. but a quart of 0w-40 is $10 ea. so it would be cheaper just to get the kit. on my last wheeler the only oem filter i ever had was from the factory. after that its always been after market. never had a problem. sold the wheeler with 7000 miles 600hrs.
