Okay, I know there is probably a hundred posts on tires but here is what I have going on. I noticed today while loading my Sportsman 450 onto my truck that my right rear tire has a slit almost completely through the tire between the treads that is probably around 8 inches long. I'm affraid the next time I go riding it's going to pop and then I'll be screwed. Curious what is the best tire or the one everyone would prefer, I'm looking for something good in the mud, snow, gravel, dirt. Thanks!

All Polaris Utility ATVs come stock with 6ply tires which is a tough as they come. Just buy another set of 6ply tires and hope for the best, not sure if one 6py tire can be tougher than another. I like the ITP Mudlite XLs. myself.

X2 on the 6 ply tires. Can't go wrong with ITP and Maxxis.

Tires that are actual 6-ply are tougher than tires listed as a 6-ply rating.I replaced the tires on my 450 with calisle badlands XTRs.They have a smoother ride and better traction.I bought some brand new 26'' PXTs on ebay for $275 with shipping for my X2.You could also put a tube in it until you have the money for new tire(s).

If the other tires are still good you could just buy one replacement tire to match the rest.
