Highlifter Springs
#1
I have a 2007 sportsman 800. I notice the front end dives and is mushy, especially while plowing. I am considering replacing all the springs with the highlifter springs. I want to know what everyone thinks of them.
Do they change the ride considerably?
Do you regret buying them?
What changes did you notice, i.e. steering, handling, etc.?
I know you can buy the kits from polaris and epi, but I plan to move toward a 2" lift kit and 28" tires soon, so I want to do things right from the start. I realize this will all change the ride and I will no longer have the smooth ride I have now, and I'm okay with that. Just wondering if it makes it stiff as heck and unmanageable.
BTW, I ordered the polaris pro track kit and will be running that soon as well.

I wouldn't say it's a "problem". Just a "side effect"!

I have the highlifter springs on the front, one of the best mods I have done. nearly impossible to plow without them. I don't mind the ride stiffness with the plow off. I think it was too mushy before swapping springs. I can put a full size deer on the front and it still steers fine.
Am looking forward to getting a set for the rear.

Thanks, that's the feedback I was hoping to hear!
