Serial number question???

i have a 99 or 00 (not sure) polaris xplorer 400 4x4 and i can not find the serial number on it no where!!!! Does anybody know where it is located????

It should be etched in the frame on the left side between the front tire and foot well..

left side if you are sittin on it??? and is it on the bottom or top part of the frame

Yes the left side if your sitting on it.
Look under the fender at the lower part of the frame. it should be stamped into the side of the frame.

mine is stamped under the seat on the frame. lift the seat up and it's right there on the top

my 00' sportsman had it stamped on the frame on the left side under the oil resivor. you may have to wipe the frame to see it. i know i had to on mine to see it. it was hard to see.
