rotopax or Kolpin gas can
I don't have one yet, but I'm going to get a Rotopax, 4 gallon can. I think the mounts are cheaper for them, I saw on here 30$ for the Kolpin mounts and it's 20$ for the Rotopax...plus they're garuanteed not to leak. Cheapest I've found is on Ebay. Says on the Rotopax site they're in the process of setting up a distribution/dealer system.

Yea 700-Blaz-in has an open thread on this too. http://forums.atvconnection.co...id/11/threadid/561130
Seems like a year ago was the time to buy these things. Now the price hikes
with PARTS dealers are near double in this case. What Walmart sold last year for
$60 they are now $100. Yea I think it is crap to have to buy the mounts for another
$30 too. I have mixed feelings about this. But if Rotopax life time guarantees their
products that may be the way to go, at least your money is investing in something
other than the container that will at some point probably leak - IMO
Mixed reviews on the Kolpin's is they have leak issue with the cap.

I have the Rotopax and its great! does not leak at all. The other tanks do! I have 2 buddies that have the other brands and they leak. If you go with the Rotopax tank then give Jason (the owner of Rotopax) a call and ask for the Rinconriders.com discount. It will save you some extra + I think he is also giving us a extra water tank. BE SURE TO TELL HIM THOR SENT YOU!

Just took a look at the Rotopax. Nice setup. I've got the Kolpin and it's worked fine, no leaks. But after looking at the rotopax a couple of thoughts---
1) The rotopax will be easier to tie down, i.e. places for velcro, whereas the kolpin has to be bungeed or you have to use their mounts.
2) The Roto pax has a vent cap. I wish my kolpin had that. (or it could be another leak point.....)
3) 2 2gal packs will be easier to use than one heavier 4 gal pack.
4) The Kolpin pack is thinner dimensionally 2" vs the rotopax 3". Doesn't seem like much but if you are using a rack extender it will be about level or above rack.
5) Price aout the same. I got my Kolpin from Dennis Kirk. Paid $68 bucks in January from catalog, but looked at their web page a while back and they were at $89.
Just my 2 cents.

Nice pics Kansasds! Hey do you also have the rack mounts
for the rear rack? From some pics on their site it looks like
you can mount them and then put the Lock&Ride cargo box
still on with it all fitting. If so that would appeal to me.
After all, it looks like Kolpin are the same price, and I rather
consider rotopax products based on testimonials and configurations.
Cheers,
