08 400HO spark plug
#2
I check the plugs on both of our machines regularly and it's not as bad as you would think. The important thing here is to have a good plug socket that grips the plug AND a good extension that locks on to the socket!
First reach in between the frame and head and pull the plug boot off the plug being careful to twist the boot while you pull so it doesn't hang up on the plug and tear! Yes, I learned this one the hard way!
Then you just slide the socket/extension down the recess formed in the gas tank to the plug and make sure the socket pops onto the plug securely...loosen the plug and thread it out of the head and pull it out.
Just reverse the procedure to reinstall the plug
Removing and replacing the boot is probably the toughest part of this process, specially the first time you do it...I found coating the inside of the plug boot with dielectric grease make it MUCH easier!
Side note: haven't seen any noticable problems and haven't had to change plugs on either machine yet!
