Default Changing front springs

Just wondering if i should tackle this or let the dealer do it? Im fairly handy im worried about the drive shafts coming out and having to take boots off. Its on a 06 800. They are red my brothers 08 are black and it seems alright. Are the red weaker?
Thanks

I just did mine, no worries when you figure out how to remove the strut assy. to remove the springs. Check out
the recent thread on this, 5j's, Stendori's pics and mine. It really is easy and a fun project. About an hour the first
time, me a little longer. The instructions from Polaris HD Springs were NOT good. I learned everything from these
guys and here on the forum. The pic galleries will help you immensely. No need for a dealer and NO worries about
the CVs or taking off the boots. Take off the strut bolt after your remove the front cargo bx. Jack it up first to take the
pressure off and a couple ratchet straps to compress spring, then move the jack over more to the center of frame off
of A-Arm to allow it to drop far enough down to remove spring. (Basically)

Feel free to reference my pics icon (webshots) for assistance.

Regards,

R'

Yep, real easy.
Take front box off
unbolt top of strut
jack up front till you can pull strut out (don't need to take tire off)
take off top screw to lift spring out, drop in new spring and reverse order
I did two in a couple hours, boy what a difference riding them.

You can use ratchet straps but you don't need to for the fronts.....

Doing great, thanks for asking. My wedding business really took off. I've been working more than I wanted, but I think the economy has finally slowed things down so here I am. I'm not complaining, been out quading quite a bit lately.
