Might take the clutch cover off see how it looks in there. Possibly get it up in the air & check operation. Belt condition, sheave operation, tightness etc.

Thankns for sure ill try that out...
The belt is pretty good i had the case of a month or so ago, The belt is one of them double side ones, its heavy duty, it should still be good for being new not even 3 months ago....
I bet its gonna be pricey i havent even herd of anything like this happening befor.......

it really sounds like the silent chain inside the gearcase is slipping. it happens. not sure how much a pain it is to get in there and get the gearcase out to replace the chain tho.

also do you think this could be caused from driveing around in really deep snow with 27/12 inch tires, there pretty wide and pretty big, for a stock clutch kit... Use to have a dalton Performance spring, but took it out for polaris 800 clutch....

well theres a few things that could have happend and they have all been listed here.
1. the silent chain got stretched and needs to be replaced
2. the shifter linkage needs some adjustment because its not engaging gears completly
3. you could have a worn cv join. will catch with little pressure but once it gets in a bind then it cant spin the tire anymore.
start with the shift linkage first (easiest to determine and easiest to fix) then go with the cv joints. then its time to check the silent chain

Thanks, and yes thats what i was thinking Cv Joint or the deferantial in the hubs, but yet im not sure, ill check each of these things for sure, but first i need to get my bike back in my yard, its out back the trail completly barried in snow, about 5 ft of it, no way to get it back unless i get a winch out there or wait tell spring

a lil Up Date
Its def not the cv joint, some how when i went out today i got it back running and got some wood under the tires and back it out of the hole, But only 2 w/d will work now, i took it easy to get it to my yard, when in yard, i come on to it a little, and clunk, clunk it went and if constant pressure is against the wheeles it will make the clicking sound and tires wont move, i do think it has a bit to do with the big *** tires on it out in that deep wet snow..........any other idea's ?

when it is clunking and not moving, have someone watch your rear driveshaft (between the transmission and rear differential) to see if it is turning. if not, then it would be transmission related. if it is turning, it would be rear diff. or inner cv joint spline related.
