Just bought this and I notice it shifts really hard when put in gear. Especially 2nd and third it really clunks into gear. Is this normal or should I be concerned? I runs smooth, but the shifting is, well odd...

 

You might try pulling rubber plug on shift lever side and loosen locknut,turn adjuster clockwise until LIGHT resistance is felt and back off 1/8 turn and tighten locknut. This is clutch adjustment screw. There are TWO clutch assemblies in this machine, If this doesnt help may be inner shifter problem,clutch or shift drum problem.
