2003 SP 500 H.O.

Just bought this atv and I am finding more things wrong with it the more I take things apart.
The moose replacement kit for the strut hub bearings comes with a seal
that goes on the back of the strut .
1.My problem is how do I get it in past the retaining "lip" that is smaller than the stiff *** seal without damaging the seal?
2.The inside of the wheel hub where the Hillard "lock" is located was dry and full of muck and the hub walls are slightly rusted.
If I clean this out thoroughly including the Hillard assembly & install a new armature plate,What are the chances that this will allow the awd to function?
There might be some pitting on these parts, not sure yet until I clean it out.
3. Any recommendations on chemical solutions for clean up?
Thanks in advance
oh yea, can anyone tell me where I can download a manual for this machine?
