Default Brake fluid coming out of rear brake reservoir?????

Hi I have bean having nothing but trouble with this ATV. I put a new belt on it yester day and I took it for a ride and it was nice and fast but then the brake handle went all soft. I was lucky that I was almost stopped when it happened. I thought that one of my lines broke but what is actually happening is confusing me. The Brake fluid is coming out of rear brake reservoir when I push the brake handle. If any one knows what is happening can you help me pleas thanks.
