i bought an ngk iridium spark plug for my 06 polaris hawkeye 300 AWD. it has the screw on type tip instead of the snap on tip like the stock ones. how should i connect it?

an iridium plug is and upgrade from the factory plug, 100% designed replacement upgrade. and no, it wont twist off from the factory, i tried and it cracked the white part on the plug, it was an old plug anyways tho. and yes, the iridium plugs do improve performance. i put one in my rancher and it sounded better and ran smoother and revved quicker. i just need the little tip that goes ontop of the threads to make it snapon for the polaris. the hondas fit the threaded tips.

I had the exact same problem when I put the iridium in mine. I just went to oreillys auto parts and they found a cap for me for free.
By the way the bike will run better with the iridium. mine did, I don't care what anyone else says about it, whether it should or should not work, but it does.

You are right, not all plugs have the screw-on tip. Might check the part stores or a repair shop. All tips may be the same.( cars, lawn mowers ect.)
