Default 1999 Scrambler trigger coil and magneto plate

My 1999 Scrambler 500 wasn't starting so I took the pull start cover off and realized the trigger coil was too far away from the flywheel. Pushed it closer and it worked fine. 5km up the road it wouldnt start again..Took in the garage and pushed it closer again. No go...Pulled the flywheel and the trigger coil was broke. Wires hanging out and the plastic busted...so that was fine...get a new trigger coil. Then I broke the mag plate trying to get the screws out the trigger coil...I hate those philips screws after previous owners try to get them out and give up because they're stripped....So now I need to try and weld the piece back in or find a new plate. Theres nothing wrong with my magneto.

There's a couple on ebay, plate, mag, trigger coil and everything. But different part number. My question is, my scrambler is the HO, so...a 1999 sportsman wouldnt fit because they're just a 500...In 2000 didn't the sportsman 500 have the HO engine the same that's in my scrambler. The microfiches say the plate asm for my 1999 is a 3086820. Then you look up the 2000 sportsman and it's a 3085560.
The plates look the same but the magneto seems different. The narrower coil is in a different spot compared to mine. Please help..the snow just melted here and the crank went in my snowmobile and I want to drive my ATV!! lol
