Default Changing clutch springs

Okay,

I called EPI and ordered a blue and maroon spring for my 06 sprotsman 500. My question is this, do I need any special tools to change either out and do I have to remove the entire rear plactics to get into the belt case? I plan on installing these some time this next week and want to get all my info before I start. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks,

no you dont need to take off the rear plactics to get the cover off. you may have to loosen it up or kinda carefully bend the plastics but the cover will come off. no you dont need any special tools for the springs as well. center bolt and the 6 out side bolts on the front(primary)clutch w/ the clutch on the bike and you will be done w/ the front spring. secondary clutch(on the transmission) just take the bolt out and it slides right off the shaft. turn it over and take the helix off w/ a snap ring pliers. make sure you pay attenion on how it comes apart to put it back together the same way. its under good pressure so make sure to hold it downa nd 2 people sometimes is better.
