My 98 is getting tired with 17K miles and it is time to replace or rebuild. I have found a low mileage motor,carb, clutches and CDI off a 01 500 HO for a resonable $. My Question is can it be as simple as a straight out swap of the above or am I missing something?

Any input would be appreciated.

pretty sure u can do a straight swap with it, swapped a 425 motor with a 500 in the magnum, no alterations to it

Does your new H.O motor include the larger 40 mm carb? then you will have use different air box tube and engine intake, thats about it.
