'08 500EFI Performance Upgrades?

Sorry, have not done much. I was looking for someone to say "i did this and it worked well" but not many seem to play with the 500 EFI's. I did install the high altitude weights last weekend, and will try them out this weekend (was riding at 10,500 - 11,5000 over the 4th). Did the 3 headlight mod, and installed the switch and bulbs for the work lights too. Measured the inlet size of the intake for the air box and it was about 1 cubic inch smaller than the throttle body. Didnt want to cut it back to where it was larger and reduce the water depth that I could go through. Havent come up with a fix for that yet. Maybe fix that and to a uni filter or something at the same time. Let me know if you try anything.

So how did the high altitude weights work out?
I talked to Rick Ritter and he said that was the most important thing to do. How big a deal was it changing out the weights yourself?
I did the 3 headlight mod also, but it doesn't work consistently (might be because of the HID conversions) even after soldering all connections in place.
Someone recommended a power commander, but I can't find a model for the 500EFI. For more power might be best to get an 800 or the new 2010 850 XP Touring. If I get this issue resolved I'll be happy with the balance.
