2 problems, tie rod ends were shot, replaced with new and improved but to toe in does not look right (top of tire leaning in), any one got the procedure for toe in ? right front hud seal is leaking, polaris wants $17 for seal, after market Dennis kirk $5, can I get this at auto parts store, any buddy got the procedure for taking the hubs apart down?

Take a string and tie it to rear trailer hitch, bring it around rear tire to the front of machine, I tie it to a heavy jack stand, move the string to where its just touching the front of rear tire, with the handlebars straight adjust tie rod so front tire is toed out 1/8 of an inch. Use a tape measure on sides of front tire.Hope this makes sense, the book probably explains it better.

on a polaris the tires will lean in a little at the top.that is caster and camber....as far as adjusting toe in/out do like was mentioned above and string it....you want just a slight amount of toe out maybe a 1/4 inch ......

oh and as far as the hub goes...pull the cap off the end. remove nut/and bearing.. remove caliper out of the way....pull rotor off ...the bearing may fall out the back so watch for it.....there is a seal in the back of the rotor and also another set of bearings where the cv joint goes thru the strut housing...there is also another seal back there also....4 bearings 2 seals......hope this helps
#6
thanks guys that helps a bunch, Colt I take it that the seal towards the hub seal the hub lube and the seal towards the CV is sealing the cv grease ? I think it is my hub seal leaking looks like hub lube, anybody know of online manual???
#7
NO both seals are for the oil that floats around for all 4 bearings....the inner most seal seals the strut housing to the cv joint and the outer most seal seals the rotor housing to the strut housing.......use on demand hub drive fluid from polaris or if in a pinch i have used auto tranny fluid......and change it often
