PVT system not water tight?

Drive belt cover
My 09 800 sportsman is in the shop now for the same thing. I would wash with a garden hose and get water in my pvt. The belt would come slack and wear a hole in the cover. Something else to keep a eye on is the back drive shaft roll-pin coming out.
