Hello,

Has anyone put these on their bike for mudding? If so, how do they do and can you compare to any other mudding tires? Also, are the 589s just for mudding or do they handle other types of terrain as well?

After a lot of thought, I am considering setting my bike up for mud and water. I can't beat the sport bikes in drags but can show them their **** in the mud and water. I want to build on this. LOL

I am considering getting the Titan 589s as they don't look too different from my 489s (which I think are just great). Originally I was thinking of getting ProWedges for the back as that is what a lot guys with sport bikes have around here. (Side note: those Pro-Wedges really hook up in all kinds of terrain...VERY impressive) However, my buds all have built bikes and I don't want to invest that kind of $ in a bike right now.

I want to get 25" 589s. Will I need to do any mods to my bike to get them to fit?

Your input is greatly appreciated.

MrMan

ps I know I'm long winded but, that is what happens when you type fast. LOL

Well, not to throw any reviews at you or anything but I dont' think that they would lie about tires. If you go to ***news.com, they have a review of the mud tires, the 589's come out victorious, I too have the 489's and love them, but when I get new ones, they will be 589's. They say that the tires are lightweight, excellent ground clearance, and are great in the mud and on other sufaces too.

I feel the same way, I love my 489's, but they wear fast. I read that the 589 is a little harder compound. I can go any where with the 489.
Hey polarisman how in the world can you get that 325 to wheelie? Is it a 2x or 4x? I can't get my 4X4 to lift the front wheels. any mods to yours yet?

go to the highlifter forum, then go to tire talk. there is a thread there about the 589Mt's and a guy has a link with picture of them. they look similar but there is deffinatly a difference.

I have the 589s on my sp500 and they do work pretty well. I had a friend of mine drive it that has the goodyear muddrunners and he was impressed with them. I cant tell about wear yet i had just put them on in the fall.

Great tire, I hang with bikes running vamps, and they run well on hard pack. To me they steer easier than the stock Dunlops I had. They run a little small, 27s-26.5" @ 3-5 psi, 27.5" @ 25psi.( 25s run 24.9" @5 psi). My 27s do not seem to creat a power loss on normal trails, BUT in thick mud when they bite, it does take alot to turn them. Good luck.
