Default polaris ranger 500 electrical issue

I am working on a 05 polaris ranger 500. when you turn the key on nothing really happens. the batery is new and i have good power to the first termination block. the power seperates there and goes to the ECU then its supposed to go everywhere else from there but it doesnt. i was wondering if anyone has encountered this problem i am having. i have no lights what so ever

No lights,no lights on dash either for gear range? If not then you can take ignition switch out, disconnect switch from connector harness and with a test light see if have power going to switch harness. You should have power at all times with key off. If no power to any of the harness wires then probably ECM module bad ( big silver module opposite side of battery) Power goes in and MUST come out, eventhough its supposed to cover fan circuits, etc,it can short out and you can loose all power to ignition and lights! I have one on order for an 05 Ranger 4x4 myself! Not a common problem, but can happen. This is about my 3rd one total! Good luck OPT

Open ecu up. There are some little black electrodes in there. Look to see if the have any damage. Find them online, in solder them back in. Done this on a ranger with fan not working and saved a man alot of money. Electrode was only around 5 dollars. Polaris said you had to replace the ecu and it couldn't be repaired that way.
