#1
hey last night i was rideing and must have picked up a rock in my raditor and have a leak in the side by the cooling fins. has anyone else repaired one before? i think the hole is to big for for the stuff you pour into the rad. any sugestions are welcome

You can take it out and a Auto repair shop for Rads should be able to sodder it....................Did you price a new one?
I myself would replace it do to the fact when your 2-3 hours back in the bush,I don't want to worry about that all the time.......
If used close to home or even roads....It's your call Might be able to limp home if you ever need to
....Caper.......

depends on where the hole is like caper said about having it fixed or maybe even recorred if they do atvs like autos. if not start looking around for a used one as they wont be cheap.

i tryed a self fix that so far is working good. i sanded down all around the hole and used plyers to squeeze the hole shut and applyed lots of jb weld to it. so far so good i'm only going close by my house to test it but i think it will hold

Good luck! I have used J B Weld on the case of my 250x and it held up great. I would keep an eye on it for a little bit, and also keep an eye on your temp. I would say if it was going to leak it would have done it right off the bat. With the fins the J B has a lot to grip on and will probably out last the rad.
