you could add some sort of curved brace in the bottom of the air box, you could use some type of plastic, plexiglass, or even cardboard would work too

I have the same bike an 07 500 and the uni that I bought for it fits perfecty and rests on the supports just the the factory filter did.

Hey folks...went riding the other day and all was well. the filter preformed perfect and i encountered no problems. thanks for all the sugestions and help. much appriciated!!!
