Well I got it dis-assembled as best as I could. I got the lower arm out finally, and the upper will be a challenge. The shaft rod thing I was refering to is yes what goes into the A-arm. The current one doesn't seem to work right.. lol, when i try removing the bolt it turns like its bent. I'll get photos tomorrow.

Have a frame shop check your frame. i bet it is bent. I did the same thing but much less damage than you and my frame was bent. The frame shop fixed it up good as new. It cost me 150.00 for the work but worth it. This will save you money down the road.

Yeah theres no doubt that my frame has suffered from it, I can visually tell it has from the back. I was going to temporarilly rubber mallet it back as much as possible. I have a gut feeling it will never ride as smooth again though.. Thanks for the advice though i'll look into frame shops in my area.

I'm not familular with the frame on your bike, however my hawkeye has a rear sub- frame piece, if it does that will be alot easier to replace...just a thought

I'll post a quick update. I bought new upper and lower arms, got them painted by my friend, hoping to get them back tomorrow, I need to buy the lower arm shaft rod, get some grease and bend some things back a little more and start piecing it back together. So far things are going smooth, hoping it stays this way.

A shot of its current stance during the tear down.

Another question more relating to these shaft boot clamps, just how exactly do these work? How can I get the boot back over this inch of bare shaft?

Alot of my frame is welded. Like the bars in the little at the rear rack, those parts are bolt on, but their also tached on a bit, and its obviously factory because its painted well.

when a few kids decidedto take my wheeler though a road ditch. they didnt see the culvet. wel they took out my front left wheel. it pulled the shaft out, broke the bar or rod the goes thought the a-arm, broke the strut, and bent the foot well, craked the fender. but when my axel pulled out think there was some grease on my axel. the slid over the hump. never had an issue with it after that. evon sold it like that. but if you cant get the boot over. taka needel nose plires and bend the tips of it in a bit so its got some what of a hook. and there are 2 spots on the clamp were you can use the needel nose plires to remove the clamp. if you do it carefull enough you should beable to reinstall it.

ok. hope you dont mind. i stold your pic and circled the 2 spots where to used the neelel nose plires on. one side lookes like a hook, and the other side lookes like a train tunnel. but when you squezz the endof it should un hook from te 2 hooks on the end and come off. yes i know its not theright clamp. but there both the same, cept the size.

Thanks man that helps. I'll give it an attempt. The axle still spins with the other wheel and measures up the same length as the drivers side so i'm assuming the boot is the only slipped part there, i'll clean it and maybe grease it and hope it works.

On a side note, i'm about to order a lower a-arm shaft and a lower a-arm bushing, is Cycle Parts Warehouse ( OEM motorcycle and ATV parts from Honda, Yamaha & Polaris – Cycle Parts Warehouse ) a honest place to deal with? I'll be needing numbers 33, 32, and 10 listed here OEM motorcycle and ATV parts from Honda, Yamaha & Polaris – Cycle Parts Warehouse

Yeah its going smoothly. I got the clamp and boot thing fixed, now I just need to buy the shaft arm rod and bushing. I'm going to buy from that store since no one gave me a straight answer, i'll give them a shot.
