Ok Polaris guys Looking for some help..
I spotted a gas cap fuel gage on a polaris the other day. I wanted to see if this might fit my
wolverine,,, gas guage would be great just by switching gas caps. I called a polaris dealer and he said he has two part numbers, but was not sure if the part numbers were different sizes or not. Length of float rod....
the two different parts are from the Scrambler and the Explorer. Has anybody in their travels ever tried to see if this would fit another quad...
Input would be great...Dealer did not know if the thread would be the same or not....

thanks for your help....

Wolv,
If it's the same one that was around in '96 when I bought them for my Magnums, save your money.
They're noisy as hell, inaccurate and they LEAK!
I put the originals back on.In fact you can have mine!

Take your gas cap in and see if it screws on one of the Polaris quads. Then go from there. The gas tank is semi-transparent, I don't see why they don't just cut a little window in the plastic covering it so a person could see how full it is. I guess I could do it myself, but I don't think I would get it to look very good.

I have 1 of those fuel gauge caps for my Scrambler. It is basically worthless. As mentioned above it does not seal good and it is not accurate at all. Basically, I feel like I wasted $18.

I am getting ready to buy a GPS and will use that to determine how far I can go on a tank of gas.

Regards,
