well i jumped the fan and it works fine so that means its ?

bad sencer, the plug in the top of your rad controls when your fan turns on, maybe bad connection?

is the pll cord suposed to have oil in it? if not do i have a blown crank seal?

no the pull cord should not have any oil in it. more then likely bad seal.

As for the ticking noise in the engine it may be a stretched timing chain. Could have possibly ran it overheating for a while and stretched it, i did it to mine a couple of months ago.

Want to make it run better? Get the cylinder measured first to see how much oversize you need. get a wiseco 11 to 1 piston and rings for it, stock is 10.2 to 1 then buy the ho cam and a 40mm carb and boots for a 2001 or newer 500ho, it will add quite a bit of power for around $500 bucks if you do the work yourself, Can usually find a carb on e-bay I would get a new cam and check the rocker arms for wear.
