carb over flow leaking gas

Default carb over flow leaking gas

i have a 1998 scrambler 500 sometimes the carb will leak gas from the over flow on the bottom and sometimes it wont. i had the carb cleaned and installed a new fuel filter. does anyone have this same problem, mine has been this way since i bought it, has a new carb kit. any ideas welcome

Things that do that. Needle and seat (inlet valve) Sticks, piece of grit in it or scratched and dosnt seal well. Float is sticking or not set right. If you trailer and its at a funky angle on a rough road. Will tend to fill the bowl too much when you get it back to somewhat level to ride it. And hill riding if you park on the down slope frontwards

are the vent lines all clear and not pinched. a little gas in the tubes arent bad,but if you have it leaking it out steady, it might be a float issue. maybe out of adjustment or what is mentioed above. imo.
