What colors could you get the scram 400 in in '99. I am pretty sure you gan get it in white but are there any other choices(maybe puprle or yellow i know they didn't make it in red).

If it wasn't red, then it was still white. I thought the 98 was the first year of red. The purple Scrambler was a 500. The yellow was the 400 sport. The white Scrambler lasted a few years then it went red. I don't think Polaris ever offered it in more than one color for a given year model. The plastic cabs are inter-changable with the 400 and 500 Scramblers and the TrailBlazers. Are you trying to identify the year of a specific Scrambler??

HotSeat used to sell full plastic for the Scramblers. The rear cab was $70, the front was $79, and the nosepiece was $15. I switched my Sport to all yellow, and everyone seems to like it.

Well, I hope Polaris fired the guy that came up with the idea of putting white plastic on a 4x4 trail atv. I have a white Scrambler and I think that is the absolute stupidest color they could have offered for any atv. I would love to change the plastic.

When I went to order my new plastic for my 97 Scrambler, I was told HotSeat no longer carried it. So I ended up paying around $300 for new plastic from Polaris. I also noticed the prices varied depending on what year model plastic I wanted. That seems crazy since they are all exactly alike with the exception of colors. I haven't got my new plastic on yet. It's still in the "project" stages. I'll be posting pics when it's all done. Hopefully before riding season starts here in Alaska.
