It's pretty stable with the front landing gear down and the two rear stabilizers down. I also use a home-made chock that goes between two of the axles to help stop movement. It looks like this:



There are a bunch of aftermarket products ranging from king pin tripods to braces that span between the landing gear. My set up is fine for me as it feels plenty stable enough even when driving the quads in and out.

Since these pics were taken I have flipped the axles to add about 4" of ground clearance.

Great looking, and we're about ready to buy an '07 just like it. Wondering if you have 3500 or 5k axels. Standard is 3500 and that's used up with a pair of ATVs and fluids. Hate to overload. Also, are you using a weight distributing system? Had any problems yet?

 

They come with 3500 axles, but they are fine since that gives you 7000 lbs for the two and about 1500 lbs end up on the tongue. Mine on the scale runs, 7700 lbs loaded with two quads and all camping gear, 6200 on axles, 1500 tongue weight. I'm pulling with a 2500HD and I use WD with 1200 lbs bars. I could pull without the weight distribution, but I would not run level. Don't even think about no WD with a 1500. Sway is no problem because of the heavy tongue weight. I've pulled over the mountains (7000 ft) with 50 mph gusts and never felt the trailer. I've had mine two years and have been on 2300 mile trips one way with no problem. The only change I made on mine was to cut the wall out between the dining room and bedroom. This gives me about 5" more headroom on the bed ( I'm 6') and is less confining, I also bought a 4" memory foam mattress to fit on top of the bed....I sleep like a king.

 

there is alot of toung weight on these so be sure you have 1000 torsion bars and duel can sway system. Thats has be the best towing system on the market.

I really appreciate that tongue weight transfer info. I'm no engineer and didn't know if you could deduct that from weight over the axels. Talked to some sales people and none of them had a clue. The video is helpful too.

 

Here is my toyhauler. 29 foot Spree model by K-Z. Only holds one atv but loads in the front in a separate bedroom area. Queen size bed folds up into the wall and load up the quad. Tie downs in the floor. Flooring in that area is a rubberized checkered plate and cleans real easy. That area is optional to sleep in because there is a king size bed at the back and a futon and the dinette turns into another queen size bed. Had it out twice so far, pulls great with the weight of the quad on the hitch. All aluminum framing makes it very lightweight, only approx. 7000 lbs with the atv and full fresh water tanks.
