I have an 05 sp 700 (carb) and while some buddies of mine were out riding the atv lost power. I was going down a graveled road and was about to speed up when I hit the gas and the engine acted like I was putting on the brakes. We pulled over and the engine just Quit, so we started to check out the bike and found the the dip stick tube had broken at the bolt hole and was loose and I had lost some oil. I checked the oil and found that I lost 1/4 of a qt of oil. We put some 10-30 (conventional) back in it and it started back up. I went about 1/2 mile and the engine started knocking and we shut it off. I now have the atv torn apart and found that on the mag side of engine that there is a gap of .006 of an inch of clearance between the crank and main bearing. Here is my Question, what are my options now, will I have to replace the crank, or can I get the crank turned and an over-sized bearing. Any Info is appreciated, Thanks
