I have a 02 400 Sportsman and when it is warm out it shoots all of the coolant out. I don't understand why is does this because it was only 20 Celsius with a wind today. I was only driving down gravel roads and it just spits it out everywhere. What could be my problem?

 

One make sure your rad is clean.....were is it leeking from. I had a 2000 sportsman that did this and it was coming out the vent hole on the overflow tank. After trying many things it endded up being the rad cap.

 

agreed onmaking sure the radiator is 100% clean on both front and back. you want to be able to see thur it. also make sure the therostat isnt stuck closed. how long does it take to overheat?

 

my 02 500 did the same thing when i found out my fan was not working.....check the fan also i would think...

 

Ok I will check all those things out. It doesn't really seem to overheat, like the light doesn't come on or anything and it runs fine. I would say it was a good 5 hours before it happened this time. It happened one time but that was a super hot day. Im not exactly sure where is it spraying out of because it sprays it all over the place down there.

 

Does it spray out the top of the bottle on left side?
