I have some problems with my scrammy...after sinking it in a mud hole, i found it not running,( DUH!) i cleaned the carb, no luck, changed the fuel including the filter, no luck, changed the oil...twice...no luck. i NEED it to run. It will start after LONG attempts and it idles high...but will not turn the wheels when throttle is given, and starts to die unless i let off the gas. A friend told me the magneto is going bad...this would be the third if it is true. Another friend told me it was the CDI...which would be the thrid also. What is going on? Any help out there? I dont want to shoot it and start over....i promise i will get something more reliable....but i want to sell thisto help pay for the new one. Thanks alot!

i'm confused "you found it not running" and it wont run, but then you say it starts but idles high
were you actually riding it when it stopped in the mudhole and would not re-start or started hard but would not move under its own power

Not to my knowledge. The filter was k&n so it kept the water out. The problem I noticed was when i tried to start it, she would pour fuel out of the exhaust manifold. I cleaned and replaced jets in the carb and tried again. It would start but would not go past idle when throttle was applied. The fuel and filter were replaced with no success.
