I have an 03 polaris 90 cc that when I try and kick start it does nothing and I let the kick start come up and it takes about a min so I pull it up with my hand. Whats wrong with it? and how do you jump start these with out hurting the battery?

 

The inter k/start ratchet assy gets a little dusty and sticks after a while and needs to be cleaned and a little lube will stop the problem. You just have to pull cover,be sure to leave kick starter attached and you can see how it works.JUST DONT push the kick starter down all the way or the ratchet will pop out! Just clean with brake cleaner and put a little grease or penetrating oil on the moving parts. As far as the battery,best to charge rather than jump off or replace! Good luck OPT
