Just when I was about to give massive kudos to my Polaris salesman, he sucker punched me....

$600.00 for a Polaristar Protection Plus program or pit pass???? What's up with that?

Now this is my first quad and I don't know much about working on them, but is the maintenance that serious?

I mean, I can change the oil, tires, replace break pads, tune-up, and replace the belts on my car pretty easily. Other than tight spaces, is maintaning a quad gonna be that hard.

Just wondering if any of you all puchased a pass when you bought your quad?

i dont think that is for regular maintanance is it, more like if something breaks after the normal warranty is done, like the engine blows or something, i didnt buy the extended warranty for my atv because i wanted to modify it anyway, and i think that would cancel an expensive warranty, but if i get a new atv with enough power(is there ever enough) then i will get one, just for peace of mind,

The Polaristar extended warranty is to cover all but normal wear items. It is true the factory service coverage stops after 6 months so if you plan on riding hard this is not a bad idea. Please keep in mind having this will make your machine very appealing when you go to sell or trade because this warranty is transferable. The dealer I purchased my ATV’s from gave me 20% off the face value on my 2000 Scrambler warranty. On my 2001 Sportsman they knocked 15% off but then gave me a 0 deductible on all repairs
