Default 700efi clutch problems bad castings?

Hello All,

I am new to this forum,I have a 05 700efi sportsman and my wife has a 400 sportsman.

Our machines are low hours for their age mine has 69.2 with 721 miles, yes I know I have been working to much to ride that is changing soon.

My question is this has any one had problems with the drive clutch on a similar machine.

Mine looks like the casting is defective!

While ridding the other day my ORIGINAL belt broke, no problem I carry a spare. I removed the cover and found these problems.

So we towed it back to the house 3 miles.

Take a look at my links to photos and you will see what I am talking about.

Has any one else had this problem and info would be helpful.

Regards
Don
