you need a heavier duty truck to pull that load buddy . JK. i prefer a 6.5x12 utility trailer. its a little heavy but it works great. i got my 05 700 and my uncles 05 800 sideways on one. it was tight but we did it.

Since it was a craigslist ad, could be it was a scam (most common reason) or it could be that a dealer is flooding cl with ads.

thank for the info/pics biz.....you brought up a good point...b/c I plan on adding the guru bumpers so that will add to the overall length. A 5x16 seems a little rare around here, most are wider, but I guess I wouldnt mind a little more width if thats all I could find. Theres also a place down the street that will build me whatever I want. Thx

Sure...happy to help.

In my situation...I had to go with a narrow 5' because if I wanted to hide the trailer in my garage (on vacation or out of town), then I could feel comfortable that it would fit even with the other vehicle in its spot. I was really looking for a tandom axle, but none could be found. I purchased the single with the understanding if I did not care for the way it towed...that I would order me a 5'x12' or 5'x14' tandom...and sell this one. So far...I have been impressed on how well it tows.

The Aluma 6314 and 6316 Trailers are 63 inches wide and 14 - 16 feet long. The 6316 Tandem weighs about 600 lbs.

Newmans also makes an aluminum trailer that is 50 inches wide and 14 feet long. I used to have one of these before I bought my 6316 because I needed something wider/longer. The newmans weighed about 400 lbs.

I personally would find something over 60 inches wide, I found that most aftermarket tires/wheels will put a machine at or over 50 inches wide. My XP with ITP's and Bighorns is 53 inches.

What prices have you guys found on the aluminum trailers? A local dealer (sells atv's and trailers) - wants $3k for their Aluma A212 - I dont think I'd be able to spend that much.

my Aluma without sides was about $2400-$2600 but that's with the aluminum wheels, etc.
