I was at a public riding area last summer. There was a guy with a 7 and a 9 year old son. They both had TrailBlazers. Dad said he bought them each the same exact machine to stop the "mines better than yours" wars. Although they looked small on the machine, they handled them competently, and safely. It's all in how you teach them to respect the machine.

i have a friend whos 7 year old doughter rides the heck out of one. she keeps up with all of us at the sand dunes and is very confident feeling because the machine's stability and auto clutch.she and my 7yr old doughter both learned to ride on our moto-4 100 cc yamahas( now 4-sale).
my friends doughter out grew them in about 6 mos.
my doughter has been riding them for 2 years and i just bought her a trailbazer last week .
i think it is a good choice as long as they learn respect and safty above all other 1st

One of the companies that make Polaris' kids machines (I can't remember the name) makes a 150 4 stroke called a Yukon. It is fully automatic with electric start and reverse. It or the Yamaha Breeze might be a good machine to start on that wouldn't be outgrown as quickly as the small machines. The Trail Blazer would be easy to operate but to easy to go faster than what is safe.

Maybe you could install an adjustable throttle on it. One from a kids machine might work.

I think a Trailblazer is too big for a 10 year old girl. First, it weighs about 400 lbs. She could never get out from under it if she had to.Next, I think it's too fast for her. I wouldnt recomend a quad thaat large. Polaris makes a 90cc quad for kids. I would let her ride that for awhile and work up to it. My 12 year old son (soon to be 13) has been riding a Honda 90 Fourtrax. It has been a good machine ....no failures... runs great ..not too fast.and handles pretty good. I would look at that or the Polaris 90...my recomendations

my 10 year old little sister has a 2000 trailblazer and she hasn't ever had a wreck yet. she's been ridin it for almost 2 years. she even rides my sport400 on occasions. it's just a matter of teaching them throttle control

Not if you don't mind working on it!Buy her a 250 Honda Recon and spend your time riding with her instead of trying to explain to her that nobody told you that Polaris 4wheeler's are alway's breaking down.
