Cooling fan blowing toward radiator.

I have a 99 sportsman 500 and the cooling fan is blowing toward the radiator instead of away. Is this something that Polaris's do? I'm new to Polaris and have never heard of the fan blowing toward the radiator. Thought the point was to take the heat AWAY from it. ANY HELP?????

Feel behind the fan motor,should feel air flow towards engine,UNLESS someone changed motor and blade???? Designed to pull air through the radiator

so you mean that they are suppose to blow twards the engine? wow we were tryin to figure out why that was goin on. on my cousins 00 500.. we thought it was on backwards

Yah, it would just be the fan blade on backwards. Just switch it around to get it the right direction.. Or it could be wired backwards as well... the ground and power wire switched possibly?
