Ran it tonight in the garage for about 15 min blowing air on the coil and it never acted up. I am pritty positive this is what it is. I cant beleve no one else has had this problem.

DOES it say DUCATI on the coil?

 

I dont see where it says that, however I have not taken it off and looked at it. I do know that it was built it late 2003. I talked to a few dealers and they said the coils are pretty much bullet proof and they have not put one on in 4 years. Has anyone seen one go bad?

 

Just pop the front panel and see, 04 late models were the original change date on the ignition system from DUCATI to KOKUSAN (Japanese) a lot better! If its Ducati its not BULLET PROOF,I've change too many of them! And they are not just coils,BUT a coil packs(coils and cdi combo built together) Good luck OPT
