Ide just spend about another $1500 or 2000 and get a new 500 carb. But if thats all you want to spend go for the one in best mechanical condition sometimes you can't tell how hard they've been hammered on, or how deep they've been dunked. But i'll be the first to tell ya its nice to be riden with a warranty till you know the machine is a good one.

Well...I like BIGGER...so the 2005 700efi would be my choice. As long as it was well maintained...and in good condition.

Plus...I NEVER pay what is being asked. I low ball a few hundred...and meet in the middle (if they really want to sell it). If not, then it is just not meant to be.

Good luck!

If the 700 looks to be in good shape that is the way I would go.....

The 700 is adult owned and "Appears" to be taken care of well . My only concern is I had some people say in other forums and I quote "stay away from an 05 700 or 800 they are nothing but a problem.
my 05 700 was in the shop more than i drove it and everyone of my friend's and every one i talked to that had a 05 700 or 800 all had the same problem's."
"

Whats your thoughts on this ?
After reading this I was leaning toward the 500 or 600. Wish I could buy new but want to stay 4k or below

IMO, go for the 700, I would drive it, and listen for any strange noises, and check out all of the axles, and the front and rear prop shafts, the EFI, is well worth it

Sounds like your vent line for the tank might be kinked or plugged with mud.
