Another vote for the RAM. I use it on both of mt atv's and my sled.

I used the cheaper handlebar mounts and they eventually broke because of the rough terrain. Since then I've used the RAM mounts with different GPS units on different quads and they are definitely the way to go!
I've bought on Amazon (cheaper) and from mountguys.com.

Tipo176 (little off topic sorry!), I like you gauges on the POD housing, is that factory or did you like add the High-temp gauge in the spare hole spot on the POD housing? Also, is that a manual Fuel gauge cap I see for your sportsman? Where do you get them? I would like that as a backup for my electronic speedo fuel gauge. Case in point when I got in the accident and cracked my speedo, what was ridable to get down the mountain didn't do me any favors not knowing if I was going to run out of gas (took a wrong turn and had to ride out a 18mile trail connector, LOL.)

Thanks,

I bought a 1.5" temp gauge from Summit and put the sending unit in the thermostat housing. Had to waterproof the meter a little extra to be on the safe side. No one sell the 1.5" here in Norway, so I had to buy it from you "over there". :-) My gas cap is the original one. You just see the text "Unleded fuel only".

R'..........I used the original center screw hole with a retainer and a slightly longer screw..... the ball mounts are mounted thru the mount, a thin rubber liner and the headlight pod. The rubber liner is between the plastic and the mount. Fender washers were used inside the pod for load spread. I designed the piece, made a stiff paper template and a good buddy fabricated for me. There is still room for a temperature gauge, etc above the mount...........NoJoke
